Daniel J. Y. Pyun immigrated to Hawaii from Korea, at the age of seven, armed with two English words, “Rawhide” and “Giddy up”.  While he did not grow up to be a cowboy, he did retire as a lawyer.  He has served on various boards and committees in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.  He was the founding president of the Korean American Bar Association Hawaii and has served multiple terms as president of the Hawaii Korean Chamber of Commerce.  A strong proponent of “working together”, he established the Quad Chambers, a partnership consisting of the Korean, Chinese, Filipino, and Japanese chambers of commerce.
